Fabulous Teacher
Hey Friends!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
So this week is the last week of summer break before my husband goes back to school (he’s a Chemistry teacher). I am in denial that summer is almost over, but really….once my summer vacations are over I kinda just want to skip ahead to October anyway, so August just puts me one step closer on the journey toward the crisp and beautiful fall time.
So in celebration of all the wonderful teachers out there, I made this card for today!
I stamped my images from the Teacher’s Pet set in copic-safe black ink and stamped them on to my cardstock. I also used a white gel pen to add some white details to the chalkboard image–to make it look like chalk dust! I used the matching dies to cut them out and then set them aside.
I used some patterned paper scraps and glued them on my card panel at an angle. I trimmed off the edges, and then used some washi tape to apply a finished edge to the patterned pieces.
I masked off my patterned paper sections and then used some of the really small images in the stamp set to create the middle background section.
I mounted my die cut images with foam tape and then adhered them to my card panel, stamped a sentiment from the Teach Me Words set and then glued that down flat to the chalkboard image.
I mounted my card panel on to a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base to finish things off!
Thanks again for stopping by today, and cheers to a happy start to the new school year!
