You’re My Lucky Charm Distress Oxide Card
Hey, friends! It’s Cassie here and I’m back with another card for you all today! It’s been a while since I’ve done this technique that I’m sharing today, so I figured it was time to bring it back! I’m not really sure what you’d call it, but it utilizes die cuts and inks that you can blend. I’ll be using Distress Oxides for the project today.
I started by die cutting a bunch of the Lucky word die cuts and adhered them with a strong adhesive to an A2 card panel. I cut all the edges that hung over the side and ink blended Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Broken China and Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. One tip for when you’re doing this is to make sure that the die cuts that you trimmed are securely adhered or they will bend when you ink blend over them.
Next I stamped and colored the cute little croc from Happy Snappy Crocs and die cut him with the coordinating dies. I did the same with the horseshoe image from Lucky Friends. I die cut a heart from white paper and stamped my sentiment from Lucky Friends on black paper with VersaMark ink and heat embossed white embossing powder. I added foam tape behind the heart and sentiment and put them in the center of the card panel.
I added some Nuvo drops and Glossy Accents to the card to finish it off, and it was complete! I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by the blog today, and I hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday!
