Feeling Lucky?

Ali here with a cute little card featuring those adorable little mice from the Hello Squeakheart Stamp set. Before I start, I wanted to say thanks so much for visiting and checking out my card – I love reading your comments and insights 🙂

 For this card its a case of cat vs mice. These cheeky little mice clearly have a plan to steal that cheese! Not exactly sure what it is but I hope it works out!! I am loving cards that ‘tell a story’ at the moment and the images from the latest Heffy Doodle Stamps release can be used for this so easily!! There really are endless ways to combine the stamps from Release 3 – so much you can do with just a few sets!

I began with the background – masking and sponging with distress inks (I used browns, greys and blues). I used the My Favorite Things brick wall stencil for the building. I stamped the mice & 3 x cheese from the Hello Squeakheart stamp set, the cat and wool ball from Mewniverse (a special edition stamp set offered last month) and the ‘lucky’ die with sentiments from Whatcha Saying? and Lucky friends stamp sets – die-cut with the corresponding dies and coloured my images with grey copics.

I adhered a piece of cheese and wool ball in each of the mice’s paws. Then it was just a matter of ‘telling’ the story and positioning the mice to hide behind the wall – hatching their plan to steal the remaining cheese from the cat.  I wonder if the cat knows whats up?

I thought it would be cute for one of the little mice to wish the other one “good luck” as he carried out their plan (whatever that may be).

I adhered the sentiments (stamped in versamark ink on white card) and trimmed to sentiment strips.  I attached the lucky die-cut and added some Nuvo shimmer pen.
