Mix and Match Slimline Christmas Card
Hey Heffy Doodlers! It’s Amanda Fitterer with you on the blog today sharing a sweet Slimline Christmas Scene!
I think mixing and matching cute critter stamps is the BEST! It really helps stretch your supplies! Pairing it with a Christmas stamp set stretches them EVEN MORE!
For this card, I started by cutting the Slimline Quartet Dies. I kept the outside frame white and ink blended the inside panel with Catherine Pooler’s On the Lake, Daydream, and Flirty Fuchsia inks. I spritzed my background with a water bottle. Then, I die cut the ink blended panel with the Quartet part of the dies.
Next, I grabbed all the stamp sets I’ll be using: Nuts About You, Trim the Tree, and Mischief Makers. I like to place the stamps on the card to see if I like the layout before I stamp and color.
Once I was happy with my layout, I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers. Then, I die cut them out using the coordinating dies and my Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine.
For my sentiment, i grabbed my Little Label Stamps and my Cotton Candy ink pad. I stamped the solid strip with Cotton Candy and then the sentiment with Black. I die cut it out with the coordinating dies.
The final step is to assemble the card! I used Glubert Glue to adhere my quartet inserts straight onto the card base. Then, I used Foam Tape to adhere my frames to the card base. Finally, I used 3D foam squares to attach my stamped images.
Now, it’s ready to be sent off to a friend! I hope you’re having fun making your Holiday cards! Have a great rest of your week!
Xx, Amanda
