Boo Crew – October 2023 Challenge
Hello crafty friends, Amanda Stevens here again, to announce the winner of September’s challenge and issue a new one for October! We’d like to thank everyone who entered the Special Occasions Challenge last month. The cards were so adorable! You can see all of the entries over in the Heffy Doodlers group on Facebook. While you’re there, you can share your projects and meet new crafty friends. You’ll also see Lesley and some of the design team go LIVE in the group pretty often.
I know you’re excited to see who won last month’s challenge, so please help me congratulate Meghan Kennihan! Isn’t her birthday card awesome? I love the black and white zebras with the bright pop of green. This card is one of several that Meghan entered last month. Be sure to check out the album to see the others!
To choose the winner, all entries (except those by Lesley and the current design team) were assigned a number, in order of posting. We used random.org to choose the winning number.
It’s October, and that means it’s time to make Halloween cards! This month, show us the cards you make for your BOO CREW, using Heffy Doodle products (mostly), and enter for your chance to win!
To kick the challenge off, I made a fun shaker tag to wrap at the top of a bag of Halloween candy…
I love the adorable new Fangtastic Furballs Stamps. Especially, the dogs that are designed to peek out. You could have them peek out of the jack-o-lantern, or out of the corner of your frame, like I did. I couldn’t resist giving the poodle a witch hat, colored to coordinate with the stenciled background. Of course, I had to die cut a few little bones to mix in with the Sparkle Mix shaker bits too. It’s going to be so cute tied to a little bag of candy!

Inspired to play along? Pull out your Heffy Doodle goodies and create cards for your BOO CREW. To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the October 2023 Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on November 5, 2023. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post tags, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle, and you incorporate the BOO CREW theme.
