For You-ooh Card

Hello everyone! Claudia (@mrsclocards) here with a colorful rainbow card that will hopefully cheer your day up! I bought the Hootiful stamp set a long ago but never really had the chance to use it: I decided to pair it with the Mini Scalloped Imperial Rectangles dies to create this card.

First step, I took a sheet of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock and placed it into my Original Misti; you could use acrylic blocks if you prefer, but there’s a lot of stamping here and a stamping platform will help you save a lot of time! I placed all the critters from the Hootiful set in the middle of the sheet and I turned some of them to fill the space as much as I could. I stamped them twice using alcohol friendly black ink, then I cleaned the stamps and repeated the whole process until the sheet was almost full.

Useful tips: If you plan to use a die later (like I did), you can use it as a guide to help you see where you need to add something and where you can leave the sheet blank. Also, if you struggle to fill a small space around the borders ’cause the stamps overlap each other, leave it blank and fill it later after you die cut/trim the panel; in fact, I usually do this for the corners since they are very difficult to fill before die cutting.

Once I was happy with the result, I used the third Imperial Stitched Rectangles die and started coloring with Copic Markers: I started with pink in the upper left corner and then added other colors in rainbow order.

For the sentiment I stamped the For You-ooh from the Hootiful set on black cardstock and heat embossed it using white embossing powder, then trimmed it down. I created the background using the second biggest Mini Scalloped Imperial Rectangles die on craft cardstok and I glued the colored panel and the sentiment over it.
