Well Wishes – May 2023 Challenge

Hello crafty friends, Amanda Stevens here again, to announce the winner of April’s challenge and issue a new one for May! We’d like to thank everyone who entered the Special Delivery Challenge last month. There were so many beautiful cards! You can see all of the entries over in the Heffy Doodlers group on Facebook. While you’re there, you can share your projects and meet new crafty friends. I try to share Lesley’s weekly videos there too as soon as she goes live. However, due to an upcoming operation, Jasmin and Natasha will be filling in for her over the next few weeks. Here’s the schedule for May…

I know you can’t wait to see who won last month’s challenge, so please help me congratulate Rebecca Middleton! She mixed and matched sets to create an incredible Harry Potter themed box card. Isn’t it amazing?! I’m blown away by her creativity. This is one of two fantastic box cards she submitted. Check out the album to see how she used a couple of the same stamp sets for a completely different card!

To choose the winner, all entries (except those by Lesley and the current design team) were assigned a number, in order of posting. We used random.org to choose the winning number.

As I mentioned, Lesley will be having an operation later this week, so I thought it would be nice to send some WELL WISHES her way. This month, create a card that offers well wishes and share it either virtually or by snail mail (if you’d like to mail your card, please send it to the address at the bottom of the customer service page). If you’d like to share it virtually, add a photo and your message to Lesley in the Facebook album (it will be pinned to the top of the page). Here is the card I made for her…

Box cards are a fun alternative to flat cards, and are one of my favorite styles to make. I cut holes in the decorative layers to create a swiss cheese effect. In order to have room for my personal sentiment, I was careful not to cut too many holes on the back.

If you’d like to make a cheesy card like this, here are the supplies you’ll need…

Here are the Heffy Doodle products I used:
Hello Squeakheart Stamps and Coordinating Dies
Deer to Me Stamps and Coordinating Dies
Pebble Sentiments Stamps and Coordinating Dies
Beary Big Heart Stamps and Coordinating Dies
Flock Star Stamps
Brooke 3D Box Card Die Set
Skinny Circle Frames Die Set
Heffy Doodle Cardstock

Inspired to play along? Pull out your Heffy Doodle goodies and create some WELL WISHES of your own. To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the May 2023 Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. Remember to add a message to Lesley in the description, if you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on June 4, 2023. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post tags, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle, and you incorporate the WELL WISHES theme. Good luck my friend!

When you enter this month’s challenge, you’ll have a chance to win a £35 gift voucher! Questions, just ask. Need some new stamps and dies for your stash? Visit the Heffy Doodle shop and check out the latest release! There are so many fantastic new sets!

Don’t forget, you enter the challenge in the Facebook group, not here. Oh, and let’s keep it PG please 😉

I’ll be back on June 6th to announce the winner and the next challenge. Until then, I’ll see you on Facebook…

The Heffy Doodlers Challenge is not sponsored by, nor affiliated with Facebook. To be eligible to win, you must be at least 18 years old, and agree to allow Heffy Doodle permission to use your submitted photos for promotional purposes.
