One of a kind

Hey there Heffy Friends.

It’s Ashlee here with my first post as part of the design team at Heffy Doodle and oh boy I am so excited to be joining this amazing bunch of creative’s, what an absolute dream!!

I love to bling up my cards with sequins and all the shiny things so I will be sure to bring on the bling in my posts. Today’s card has a whole bunch of bling in a shaker so lets get to the card….

To create this card I started with a light pink card stock base that I added some partial inking to with the Stoney Maloney stencil and Sparkling Berry CPD ink. I then stamped a sentiment from the Fluffy puffy unicorns set to the bottom of the card.

Now it was time to start making the shaker portion. I die cut all the pieces I needed from the Fancy Nancy frames die set and a basic circle die. First step was a large dark grey circle that I adhered a smaller grey circle to creating the shaker base. The pink shaker frame I adhered the acetate to the back of and then added foam tape all around the edging. Now it’s time to BRING ON THE BLING…..

I got out all the bling I wanted to fill my shaker with and this time it consisted of pink rhinestones and sequins!! I find it easier to put all the embellishments onto the grey circle base and then adhere the shaker top over it. This helps get everything lined up just the way you want it!

Now that the shaker portion is complete I adhered it to the card base and added a few die cut Swirly clouds. I stamped, coloured and die cut (Fluffy puffy unicorn dies) three Fluffy puffy unicorns, aren’t they just the cutest little unicorns?! I want to give them a big squeezy cuddle!!

Using foam tape I put the three unicorns in their place playing in the clouds and completed the card with a touch more bling….some pretty pink sequins!!

Thank you so much for checking out my first DT card, I hope you have enjoyed it and it inspires you to go and get your bling on. Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee.
