Go Bananas Birthday Card
Hello there! Claudia (@mrsclocards) here for another Color Me Happy Wednesday.
Today I have for you this “masculine” birthday card: I used the Chimply The Best stamp and dies set, the Go Wild (A2) Frame dies and the new Moxie Alphabet dies.
First of all, I stamped the monkeys from the the Chimply The Best stamp set using Memento Rich Cocoa ink on a sheet of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock and I colored them using E30s Copic markers. I also stamped little images from other stamp sets and I colored them using yellow, green and orange Copic markers. I added details with a white gel pen and I used the coordinating dies to cut all the images out.
For the background, I ink blended a piece of Heffy Doodle white cardstock with Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin and I die cut it using the biggest Imperial Stitched Rectangles dies. I ink blended two separate pieces of cardstock using Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn and I cut them out using the Go Wild (A2) Frame dies; I turned one of them upside down and I used Heffy Doodle 3mm deep foam tape to keep them together. At this point I added splatters of white paint to both the orange and the green pieces and I adhered them together with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I ink blended a little piece of cardstock with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, then I used the Moxie Alphabet dies to cut the word Dad and I added little dots with Copic Markers to make them look like bananas. I also stamped a sentiment from the Chimply The Best stamp on black cardstock and I heat embossed it in white; I used a More Strips of Ease similar die to cut it out.
The final step was getting all the images in place using glue or foam tape.
Thanks for stoppin’ by and happy crafting: don’t forget to place you pre-order for the new release to receive a free stamp set!
