Heffy Halloween- Day three – Ghostly Croc

Hey there gang,
It’s Lesley again, and I am back for the last day of our Heffy Halloween series – showing you ways in which I have used my Heffy Doodle stamps to create Halloween cards. It has been really fun coming up with ways to tweak my stamps – I hope you have have a go too.

This technique could really be done with any stamp – and its a trick as old as time itself! Throw a sheet over your head and be a ghost! LOL. But for this croc, his sheet is made from vellum.

I stamped and coloured my croc from Happy Snappy Crocs and then laid a piece of vellum on top and used a versamark pen to draw a ghostly shape around him. I also drew two circles over his eye, which I then punched out using my crop-o-dile tool.

I created a screen using some Lawn Fawn dies and layered this on a purple ink blended background, and to finish off my spooky scene, I heat embossed the word BOO (from the Heffy Doodle Elephant of Surprise stamp set) onto vellum and cut it out with the turnip die from the Lawn Fawn Rooting for You set. 🙂
