Perfect Combos – Royal-tea

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. As my favourite event, the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is in full swing, I thought I will make a tea-themed card which is perfect for any celebration. I combined Oh Crumbs, Wanna build a snowman and Who let the dogs out with a few Heffy cuts dies. Let me lead you through the process.

First I stamped the images on Bristol Smooth cardstock with a brown hybrid ink and then I used Versamark ink to stamp on top of them. I used my Misti for this to make sure I can stamp back again without shifting the images. Then I clear heat embossed them and painted them with my Karin Brush Markers. I love the vibrancy of these watercolour markers! I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

To set the scene I first created the background by blending Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock, spritzed it with water and also added some diluted Salty Ocean and black splatters. When it was dry I cut the panel down to be slightly smaller than an A2 card front and used the Silver Lining Cloud border die to get some in-laid texture.

I also die cut a Grassy Lass border die from green cardstock and added some shading with blending in some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide from the top of it. I added green and black splatters to match the style of the sky.

While I was at die cutting I cut the Gate die several times from white cardstock and its accessories from gold sparkle cardstock. I assembled the scene and popped up the corgis with 3D foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Oh Crumbs stamp set, white heat embossed on thin black cardstock strips. As the scene is almost done, it was time for the finishing touches: I used glossy accent on the noses, crown and some other little parts to give them a shiny raised look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you soon,

Zsofi
