(Video) Incorporating Twine into Your Card Designs with Channin Pelletier
Hello Heffy Doodlers!! It’s Channin here and in today’s video I share an idea for incorporating twine into your card designs! Also check out the video to see how I color this trio of felines and what famous cardmaker’s kitties were my inspiration. You can watch the video below or over on our YouTube channel.
Incorporating Twine into Your Card Designs with Channin Pelletier
To create this card I started by stamping three cats from the Purrfect Day Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a some white cardstock. I then copic colored the cats and die cut them out with the Purrfect Day Matching Dies when I finished.
Next, I arranged some black and white twine with the kitties on a A2 panel grid to get an idea of how my layout would look and how much twine I would need. I also wrapped a cat with the twine and then used some tape to hold it in place. Once I had the twine and cards arranged, I then took a photo with my phone and then added foam tapes square to the backside of the cats.
Next, I adhered a pink panel (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”) onto the front of an A2 top-folding card base made from 110lb white card stock. I then stamped a sentiment from the Purrfect Day Stamp sent onto the card front in Versafine Onyx Black.
I then rearranged my twine and cats onto my card front, using my photo to help me. Once arranged, I then removed the backing on the foam tape and adhered the cats to the card. Next, with Mat Mod Podge in a precision bottle, I glued tiny sections of the twine down to the card to hold my design in place.
Lastly, I finished my card by adding Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to the eyes and noses of the cats.
I hope you enjoyed!! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
