Perfect Combos – For you, Valentine!
Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series! I love to mix stamp sets when creating a scene, and as soon as I saw the new Purrfect Day stamp set I knew I would mix them with the dogs and mice from previous releases!
First I stamped the critters from Purrfect Day, Yappy Happy Mail and Hello Squeakheart. Then I used my Copics to colour them, I kept the colours quite neutral for the animals and added shades of pink to the accessories. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.
For my scene I needed a simple pink background, I chose a watercolour wash patterned paper for this. I cut a thin strip of dark grey cardstock to serve as floor and asssembled the scene. I kept playing for a while until I foun the right place for all those cuties, but I love how it turned out.
So funny how they are trying to surprise each other with something. My favourite is the flying dog!
The sentiment I die cut from pink glitter cardstock using the Valentine Heffy cut. Around it I stamped the rest of the sentiment using the More classic sentiments set and grey ink. I love how you can create your own sentiments just by mixing die cuts with stamps. So versatile!
I finished the scene with a skinny kraft frame which I cut with the biggest of the Skinny Imperial Rectangle Frames die set. It makes it complete. I emphasized some details with glossy accents and used a black glaze pen on the noses and eyes to make them shiny. A little white gel pen dots on the cheeks and my card is finished!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration.
See you soon,
Zsofi
