Clean and Simple: You Are an Angel!

Hello, Tallie here and I’m back with the next in my CAS series. I’m layering up the Circle Masquerade and Rays the Roof stencils, and also featuring the new My Little Angel stamps and Angel Heffy Cuts.

I started with the best part – the Copic colouring! I stamped out the Angel on her cloud from the My Little Angel stamp set onto some blending cardstock with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used some light BG markers to add some dimension to the cloud – following the ‘C’ shape of the stamp lines is a good place to start. I used the same markers for the wings and gave her some blonde hair. I cut her out with the coordinating dies.

I die cut three lots of the Angel Heffy Cuts, two in white cardstock and one in Razzleberry cardstock. I stacked these together and set them aside to create the multi-line sentiment.

I created the background by using two different stencils. Firstly, I lined up my A6 card panel with the handily etched marks on the Circle Masquerade stencil and blended on some Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. If you saw my previous card, these two inks when mixed create a gorgeous purple mid tone. After it had dried for a few minutes, I layered the Rays the Roof stencil on top of the existing stencil so that I could layer some detail within the circle. I used some white pigment ink to blend on some radiating rays from the angel.

I needed to heat emboss the top sentiment, so I laid out my design pieces on the panel in my MISTI and aligned the sentiment. I did some stamp surgery (don’t worry – no stamps were permanently harmed in the making of this card!) so I could use the ‘you are an’ top line of the sentiment from the My Little Angel stamp set. I stamped in some Versmark ink and then white heat embossed.

I stamped out the bottom sentiment from the set using some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink so it matched the blended background.

I popped up the little angel using some foam tape and adhered it to the bottom centre of the blended circle. I adhered the ‘angel’ die cut above her and used some Glossy Accents to give the sentiment and her halo some shine and dimension.
