Crafty Hugs card with Isha Gupta
Today, I am sharing fun and colorful card with you, using the dry embossing technique using stencil. As you might have seen we have a whole bunch of awesome stencils in the new R6 release.
Hello Heffy Doodlers! Isha here with you today, it’s still cold out here and I am longing for spring so this new “Ring a Rosies” stencil was perfect for the feel and the new word dies “Crafty” and “Hugs“, all what a crafty girl wants 🙂
To start with the technique piece, I cut a square mat layer, and sponged some distress ink to it. I then put the stencil and fixed it using masking tape to secure the panel. Now, I sponged a bit more ink through the stencil using the same colors. I then ran this panel through the big shot machine to use the stencil to emboss onto the paper. For this you have to use the sizzix tan mat under the cardstock. I love the subtle 3d effect it gives.
I then die-cut the words using white and black cardstock. I then sponged some distress ink to the white die-cuts and then applied WOW! clear sparkle embossing powder. Emboss it and this gives a beautiful sparkle and the look of a chipboard. I adhered these words to the black words slightly offset.
I then die-cut a vellum circle using the “Stitched Circle Dies“. I assembled everything on the cardbase. To finish, I added a few dots using Nuvo jewel drops. We would love to see your creations using Heffy Doodle products so do tag us whenever you share them. Have a wonderful day!
