3d Easter Scene | Laura Guest Designer
Hello everyone this is Laura from Crafty not Shifty and today I am excited to be a guest on the Heffy Doodle blog sharing with you three cards using the super cute ‘Honey Bunny Boo’ stamp set.
This set has 25 stamps, 17 images and 8 words or sentiments, it is perfect for Easter cards of course but I will also have a baby announcement card and a ‘hello’ card. So lets jump right in.
For my first card I have created a 3D Easter scene, I started by stamping and colouring all of the images I wanted to use, mainly the bunnies, eggs and carrots.
Once I had all of the images coloured and cut I covered a standard A2 size notecard with blue paper for a sky background and started creating dimension within a white frame using three green hills and foam tape.
I layered up the images alternating between gluing flat to my background and using one or two layers of foam tape to add depth. I finished the card by stamping both the “Hoppy” and “Easter” stamps.
Isn’t this an adorable Easter card, you could easily convert this design into a shaker card by adding an acetate window behind the frame.
For my second card I used some of my left over bunnies and created a blue background using distress oxide ink in broken china. I arranged my bunnies as a little family over the top of the blue ink traditionally indicating a boy. I used the Heffy Cuts “Baby” die and added some colouring using the same distress oxide ink starting at the top of the die and fading out towards to the bottom.
I added my die and stamped “Bunny” using onyx black versamark. This would make a beautifully clean and simple one layer card but I decided to add my scene on to a notecard with some foam tape. I also rounded the corners of my card base and the layered scene.
For my third card I got a little die cut crazy and cut a bunch of perfect stitched strips of card stock using the ‘Stitched strips of ease’ Heffy cuts These dies are wonderful for creating sentiment strips but for this card I wanted to take things a step further and create a woven background using pink and blue cardstock form my stash.
Once I had my woven background I used some dies form my stash to create a scalloped frame and window. Inside the window I popped up a cute little brown bunny and his carrots. To finish this card I simply added the ‘happy’ and ‘hello’ stamps for a sentiment that will work all year round whenever you need to let a friend know you are thinking of them and to brighten their day with a sweet little bunny.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards, don’t forget that Heffy Doodle have a sale on this weekend so you can get 15% off your order using discount code ‘Eggcellent15’ until 6thApril.
