Homeschool hero – Perfect Combos
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. Even though my kids are back to normal school now, they had an intense 1.5 months of homeschooling due to Covid. I wasn’t easy for them as they are still small, but they handled it well and I am so proud of them. This inspired the card I am going to show you today. I mixed some of the new release products for this cutie. Let’s dive in the details!
First I stamped and coloured the images from the Pandtastic Painters stamp set using my Neutral Grey Copic markers. Colouring black and white images really relax me as I don’t think about which colours go well with each other. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Then I used the DL Stitched Slimline Trio dies to cut 3 rectangles, one big from blue cardstock and 3 smaller ones: a white, darker and lighter purple. I wanted a fun multiple window design, so I die cut the DL windows from the dark purple rectangle and some Stithced Stars from the lighter purple layer. I used my Misti to help me with the alignment of the stars. When I had the stars windows too, I placed the white rectangle under the window panel and stamped 3 star shaped messages in the middle of each using the Homeschool Hero stamp set and Catherine Pooler purple ink.
I heat set the ink and very carefully coloured the stars with a blue marker. I assembled the multiple windows panel using thin 3D foam tape and covered the stars with glossy accents. Until it was drying I white heat embossed 2 other sentiments from the Homeschool Hero set on black cardstock, trimmed them down to be small banners and added them under the pandas before securing them on the card.
As a finishing touch I used a tiny drop of glossy accents on the pandas’ noses and my card was all finished! I cannot wait to make this design in different colours too, so cute!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I also share my happy creations! Thank you!
See you soon,
