Shaker Card With The Build A Pond Die

Hi crafty friends, I love making a shaker card, they are so fun and playful. I used the Build A Pond Die for the shaker and it made it so easy to create. I added the cute frogs from the Be Hoppy stamp set. I hope you enjoy. You can watch this card come to life over on YouTube here or read on for my supplies list and step-by-step instructions!

I started by die cutting the Build A Pond Die from green and white cardstock. The green is the top layer of the shaker and we will use the white for the water.

I used the Ripple Waves Stencil to create the water look. I wanted a greenish blue color so I used Aegean and Ocean (SSS inks) with the stencil and then removed the stencil and lightly blended over the image with Tropic.

I adhered the water panel to a piece of white cardstock, then added acetate behind the pond opening. I added two layers of foam tape behind the acetate card panel, added the fun Enchanted Moss sequins and adhered that to the back panel. Now we have a shaker element.

I die cut the grass, flowers, cat tails and lily pads from the Build A Pond die from green and brown cardstock. I stamped the frogs, rock, birthday cake and party hat with Copic friendly ink from the Be Hoppy stamp set. I colored the images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I stamped the sentiment with black ink and trimmed it out. I added all the images to the shaker element for a fun froggy scene card.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
