Farmyard Fun Tags

Hello there! Claudia (@mrsclocards) here for another Color Me Happy Wednesday!
Today I’d like to share with you two gifts tags that are perfect for babies or toddlers. I used the Farmyard Fun stamps, the Udderly Fabulous stamps, the Summer Holiday Patterned Paper Pad and the Rascal Alphabetters dies.

I took a sheet of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock and I stamped the images from the Farmyard Fun and Udderly Fabulous stamp sets to create a sort of patterned paper effect. Since I wanted to make a girl and a boy tag, I tried to use the “masculine” images (like the tractor) only on one part of the sheet; on the other one I included more “girly” images like hearts and hats.
As usual, for this type of cards I highly recommend using a stamping platform like the Misti for an easier process.

Once I was done, I used a die from my stash to cut out the two tags from the base sheet: I did it this way just to speed up the process but you can easily trim the paper down and make them without using dies. At this point I used Copic Markers to color the images and I later added highlights with a white gel pen.

For the pink tag I used yellow, orange and pink Copics with some brown here and there. I chose a dark pink polka dot paper from the Summer Holiday Patterned Paper Pad and I created a tag (with the same die I used before) and a little bow using the dies from the Slimline Mini Mail set. I also cut out a reinforcement hole and an “M” letter from pink cardstock using the Rascal Alphabetters dies, I glued everything in place and I finally used pink/white twine for keeping the two tags together.

I did pretty much the same for the other tag, I just skipped making the bow. For coloring this one I used blue, teal, orange and yellow Copic Markers with some splash of grey. For the background tag I chose a teal striped paper from the same Summer Holiday Patterned Paper Pad and I cut out the hole and the S-using the Rascal Alphabetters dies– from orange cardstock; for keeping the tags together I used I used orange twine.

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed my project and see you soon!

Happy crafting.
Clo
